Conversion Engine Coupler for Mercruiser GM V6 and V8
Replaces Mercruiser 14505A2.
For 1986 and later models.
GM changed the V6 and small block V8 engines to a one piece rear main seal. To accomodate this change, GM redesigned the block and crank, and used this coupler to compensate. This coupler fits the new engines with the one piece rear main seal.
This listing is for the coupler only. Does not include studs, washers and bolts not shown in picture.
May only be used if a dowel locator pin is on the crankshaft. If you use this coupler without the dowel, the flywheel may bounce between the studs (causing them to break) and could result in catastrophic failure.
